Strange!  A CNN poll says 67% of Americans oppose such an idea.  Jarrett would be lying, would she? :woohoo:

Valerie Jarrett: Americans Are Hungry for Limitless Executive Authority

January 29, 2014
By Sara Noble

In case you missed it, Valerie Jarrett was on MSNBC’s Morning Joe yesterday applauding Mr. Obama’s rule by fiat. Congressional Democrats agree with her apparently. They gave Mr. Obama a standing ovation during his address last evening when he said he intended to ignore Congress if they don’t do what he wants or, as he likes to put it, if Congress fails to act. The Administration is emboldened because there is no significant pushback.

“People around our country are hungry for action,” White House Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Tuesday.

The president will “set forth very specific, concrete proposals that he thinks will move our country forward — create opportunity for hard-working Americans who want to succeed.”

But he also will make clear tonight that he will take action on his own,” Jarrett said, pointing to Tuesday’s announcement that Obama plans to raise the minimum wage on all federal contracts to $10.10 an hour.

Valerie Jarrett

“We’re going to do what we can, within the president’s own executive power, and working throughout the country with those who want to move our country forward. And it is (sic) a lot of potential there. And I think  the optimism that the president has comes from the grit and determination of the American people, our businesses, many of who (sic) are bringing jobs back to America, so we have some momentum going, and we just need to call on everybody to work together, and that’s what the president will do this evening.”

She said it was going to be a very optimistic speech.

There is no reasonable person who would think the SOTU speech was optimistic.

Here is Valerie Jarrett, the brains behind the president:

We know she didn’t watch the Republicans’ rebuttals. last night. That would be a joke – watch the video clip and see what I mean. She certainly isn’t interested in any differing opinions. This Administration is only interested in far-left ideas.

Conservative pundits like Charles Krauthammer believe the president played small ball last night and his talk of circumventing Congress is mostly bluster. I’m not so sure.

We are only now finding out how much planning went into ObamaCare to make it the socialist system it is evolving into.

It remains to be seen how far Mr. Obama will go.

Speaker John Boehner warned President Obama he must not violate the Constitution but listen to his response after the speech on this link at Vine.
