What Obama Won’t Dare Talk About In His State of the Union Speech

Obama wishing Oamacare problems away

The State of the Union speech on Tuesday is about two things. One, it’s about lessening the deleterious effects of Obamacare before the 2014 election. Two, and this is what it’s mostly about, it is about blaming Republicans in Congress for his failed policies so he can assume dictatorial powers. Taking over the government in plain sight won’t seem like a coup to many people. That is what he is counting on.

What he won’t say is worth noting.

We know President Obama wants to turn the conversation away from ObamaCare, which he and his minions now call The Affordable Care Act. Even so, he might mention that children up until the age of 26 will be covered by their parent’s insurance, if their parents kept their insurance that is. There is also the possibility that he will say people who couldn’t get coverage, will now have coverage. What he won’t say is that only 11% of the newly-insured did not have insurance before. He will also not say that the CBO expects 30 million people to still be uninsured in 2022.

He definitely won’t say if you want to keep your health insurance plan, your doctor and your hospital, you can keep them, though it is still up on the White House website.  It’s unlikely the healthcare dot gov website will come up in his speech but that is partly because no one is responsible for the website. Sebelius took responsibility but Obama said she’s not a tech and it’s not her fault.

Benghazi will not come up. That’s a “phony” scandal and the dead Americans are “bumps in the road.” Heck, they just promoted one of the people responsible for Benghazi. Charlene Lamb, a failed leader. She was just promoted to Regional Security Officer. Was Gregory Hicks, the real hero, promoted? No, he’s been demoted.

Actually no one is responsible for Benghazi either. The buildings were negligent. The State Department building, the White House, the Department of Defense – they are just buildings – and they did it.

You definitely won’t find out where Obama was during the Benghazi attack though the best guess is he was getting his beauty sleep for his big Vegas fundraiser the next day.

The IRS scandal won’t come up. He’s taken care of that. Thanks to new IRS rules, it will soon be nearly illegal to be a conservative with a 501(c)(3) or a 501(c)(4).

Andrew Cuomo’s and Sandanista Bill’s comments demonizing conservatives won’t come up. Even CNN can’t bare to mention their comments so why would he? He’s the president of  the left-wing, that’s it, and according to the polls, many of them don’t like him either.

He won’t mention the fact that new single-family home sales slid to 7% in December according to the Commerce Department. Nor will he mention the bleak jobs picture with only 74,000 jobs added in September despite the 6.7% unemployment rate which he might mention. The 92 million Americans now out of the workforce will be ignored.

The GOP has some figures for him that I don’t believe he will bring up tomorrow night:

$17.3 Trillion: The Current National Debt After Five Years of State of The Union promises to tackle the problem. (U.S. Treasury Department, Accessed 1/24/14)

$6.6 Trillion: Added to the National Debt despite Obama’s declaration in his 2009 address to Congress that he didn’t want to leave “A Mountain of Debt.” (U.S. Treasury Department, Accessed 1/24/14; President Barack Obama, Remarks by the President in the State of  the Union Address , Washington, D.C., 1/27/10)

$4 Trillion: The amount of debt that Obama once called “Irresponsible” and “Unpatriotic.” (Sen. Barack Obama, Remarks at a Campaign Event, Fargo, ND, 7/3/08)

$1.8 Trillion: CostoOf ObamaCare’s coverage provisions from 2014 to 2023. (CBO, 7/30/13)

$1 Trillion: The total Student Debt held by Americans. (Josh Mitchell, “Student-Loan Debt Slows Recovery,” The Wall Street Journal’s Real Time Economics, 12/30/13)

$819.3 Billion: Total taxes in ObamaCare. (CBO, 3/12;JCT, 6/15/12; CBO, 5/14/13; CBO, 7/30/13)

$494 Billion: Amount of Regulatory Burden since Obama took office. (American Action Forum, 1/8/14)

$174 Billion: Federal Budget Deficit for the first three months of FY2014. (U.S. Treasury Department, accessed 1/17/14)

$32.6 Billion: The increased cost to pay interest on U.S. Debt since 2009. (U.S. Treasury Department, accessed 1/17/14)

47. 6 Million: Americans receiving Food Stamps in 2013. (Department Of Agriculture, accessed 1/24/14)

46.5 Million: Americans living in poverty – a record number – despite Obama calling income inequality “The Defining Issue of Our Time” in his 2012 State of the Union Address. (U.S. Census Bureau, accessed 1/24/13)

19.4 Million: The number of Americans that have joined the Food Stamp program since Obama took office. (Department of Agriculture, 1/24/14)

10.4 Million: The number of People unemployed at the end of Obama’s fifth year as President. (BLS, 1/24/14)

7.8 Million: The number of people working part-time that would like to work full-time. (BLS, 1/24/14)

Do you know that the number of people on food stamps in the US today equal the entire population of Spain? You won’t know it from Mr. Obama’s speech either. Nor will you hear about the Little Sisters of the Poor or the abortion fee in ObamaCare premiums.

Then there are the foreign affairs issues: the dangerous prisoners about to be released by Karzai or the details of the Iranian nuclear deal in which they cleaned our clocks. You won’t hear about them.

He might get in a few words for his LGBT friends – maybe a shout out. We all know how he’s evolved on gay marriage.

People who come here illegally have “earned” citizenship just because they made it here and have been able to hide out for a while. Mr. Obama won’t call them illegal aliens, illegal immigrants, or illegal anything. He will call them immigrants and DREAMers.

Common Core won’t come up. He has Arne Duncan to force that monstrosity through. He pretends he has nothing to do with it.

Actually he is a bystander who has nothing to do with anything.

Three-quarters of the American people don’t trust Mr. Obama. I can’t imagine why not. could it be because of the things he doesn’t say, as much as the things he does say?
