RNC chairman goes on offense against conservative critics
« on: January 24, 2014, 04:50:41 pm »
Alex Pappas
Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus on Friday went on offense against conservative critics of the party organization he leads.

Speaking to committee members at the RNC’s winter meeting in Washington, Priebus said, “What we’re doing is a big deal. So obviously, it’s disappointing when people try to attack our work—or create dissent, or the appearance of dissent, for their own benefit.”

“Every once in a while, we read or hear some of our own friends even attacking the RNC,” Priebus said. “There’s nothing to attack. Attack what?”

It’s rare to hear the RNC publicly take issue with its conservative critics. Priebus didn’t specifically note anyone particular, but some conservatives have criticized the Republican “establishment” for not winning back the White House in 2012.

The RNC chairman boasted of things the committee has recently done to help Republicans win elections across the country, including how the committee “pays for the infrastructure that all our candidates need to be successful.”

He cited the committee’s “permanent field operation,” a “multi-million dollar technology upgrade” and new engagement with “Hispanic and African American and Asian American communities, conservative groups, faith leaders, and youth” voters.

Priebus also boasted of a ground game to help Republican candidates, and a new focus on data and digital.

“Everything we’re doing is about one thing: getting more Republicans elected at every level of government,” he said. “And all of it is essential for winning and helping this country. And anyone who opposes that isn’t looking out for the good of our party or our country.”

If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem!

Priebus is DEFINITELY part of the problem!
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

I consider the criticism as being constructive criticism. Priebus and the GOP refuse to accept any kind of disapproval. They prefer the status quo because they are more about their personal lives than the betterment of America.

I smell fear in the air. The Republicans are attacking conservatives, the Democrats are attacking conservatives, and the administration is attacking conservatives. Maybe conservatives have valid points on how bad politics have become.

The GOPe is ignoring the fact the party is splitting in two right now and they are hasteing the split by joining the Chamber of Commerce and the SEIU, ACLU, etc., for amnesty.  Never mind Reagan passed amnesty and the GOP actually lost Hispanic voters in the next election, then #41 got even less and Bob Dole - who voted for the bill - was trounced by the Hispanic vote (they voted for Clinton)...

The GOPe lives in the present. They have little or no foresight, or don't care. They want to look good for democrats, but look like the fools they are.

Like the Daily Caller...
who manufactured the word "conservative"
when they should have gone with "RNC chairman goes on offense against critics"
Preibus didn't say "conservative."

But just saying RNC Chairman goes on offense won't get the right fringe pitching tents.
