Another incident for the bad-boy pop star's resume

Justin Bieber is in trouble - again.

The pop star was arrested early Thursday for drag racing and DUI in Miami Beach, police confirmed on Twitter.

R&B artist Khalil was also arrested. Bieber was in a rented yellow Lamborghini. Khalil was in a red Ferrari. In an Instagram photo before the incident, Khalil wrote: "Miami nights ridin thru yo city in that hot wheel."

And those hot wheels led to major hot water.

Bieber, 19, was booked at Miami Beach police headquarters on charges of driving under the influence, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest "without violence", according to police records. He is listed as being 5-foot-9 and 140 lbs.

After his arrest, Bieber cursed out the arresting officer then admitted to having beer, pot and prescription drugs in his system, Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond Martinez told the Miami Herald.

According to the arrest affidavit, Bieber smelled of alcohol, repeatedly dropped F-bombs and refused to cooperate with a police officer who had ordered him to put his hands on his car during a cursory pat down.

At a press conference Thursday morning, Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond Martinez said, "At first he was a little belligerent ... using some choice words, questioning why he had been stopped."

In the affidavit, Bieber was described as having "slow deliberate movement and a stupor on his face." When the officer asked Bieber to get out of the vehicle, the pop singer alleged replied, 'Why the (expletive) are you doing this?'"

During the attempted pat down, Bieber kept removing his hands from the car and turning toward the officer, saying at one point, according to the document, "I ain't got no (expletive) weapon. Why do you have to search me?"

At that point, the officer "grabbed his right hand and stated to him that he was under arrest."

The officer said Beiber continued to resist "by pulling his right arm away as he stated, 'What the (expletive) are you doing?'" He said Bieber was finally subdued with the help of a second officer.

Bieber insisted he was not drunk and was coming back from recording music at a studio.

BELIEBERS: What are fans saying about the arrest?

The bad boy's entourage had apparently used their cars to block traffic on Pine Tree Drive at 26th Street, says the Miami Herald, to create a drag strip for the star.

The e street where police say Bieber was racing is a palm tree-lined residential area. The star was traveling approximately 55 mph to 60 mph, Martinez said. The speed limit on Pine Tree Drive is 30 mph.

More: Could Bieber be deported?

For a first drunken driving offense, there is no minimum sentence and a maximum of six months, a fine of $250 to $500, and 50 hours of community service. For anyone under 21, there is an automatic six-month license suspension, according to AP.

First offense of a drag-racing offense nets a sentence of up to six months, a fine of $500 to $1,000, and a one-year license suspension.

The Opa-locka Police Department is also investigating an unauthorized escort of Bieber, a police spokesman told NBC 6 on Wednesday.

"We know it was an unauthorized detail," Assistant City Manger David Chiverton confirmed to the Herald. "We are trying to determine where the authorization for the officers to escort Mr. Bieber came from, where he was escorted and how many of our officers were involved."

Bieber has been spotted in different places in the Miami area in the past few days, and has been posting videos and photos of himself smoking a cigar, skateboarding at Lil Wayne's Miami Skate Park, seeing the sun rise, and noting all the paparazzi aimed at him on the beach.

E! reports he spent some time with his dad, Jeremy Bieber. And on Monday, the singer and pals hit Mansion nightclub before heading to King of Diamonds strip club.

And this all comes on the heels of his recent egg incident. Earlier this month, Bieber's home was searched after he was thought to have pelted a neighbor's home with eggs. During that search, Lil Za, a member of Bieber's crew, was arrested for cocaine possession.

Wow, first time I've seen a pic of him in a year where he wasn't flashing a gang sign.

EXCLUSIVE: Just who is looking after Justin Bieber? Fears for teen star as his DAD Jeremy was with him at time of his arrest
By Sara Nathan
PUBLISHED: 11:38 EST, 23 January 2014  | UPDATED: 12:34 EST, 23 January 2014

Troubled teen star Justin Bieber's FATHER was with him at the time of his arrest in the early hours of Thursday morning, MailOnline has learned.

Jeremy Bieber, 38, has been enjoying a vacation in Miami on his son's dime - and was not only present when Justin was arrested but joined the singer's camp in helping to block off a residential street so his son could drag race.

Tweeting about his trip, Jeremy was even in SET nightclub just hours before the arrest with his son and was seen strolling along the beach with his son and rapper friend Khalil - who was also arrested.

A source told MailOnline: 'Jeremy was in an SUV next to Justin when the cops turned up. It's fair to say Jeremy is not a great influence - he certainly enjoys and takes advantage of his son's money and lifestyle. ...

Text for success: Justin spent much of his time checking his phone with his friend Khalil on the beach (dear ol' dad at right).

Bieber turns himself in to police
By Joe Tacopino, NY Post
January 29, 2014 | 7:53pm

Troubled pop singer Justin Bieber turned himself in to Toronto police Wednesday night and was charged with assault for allegedly hitting a limo driver several times in the head last month.

Bieber arrived amid a screaming crowd of young women and was ushered though a side door at a police station, according to the Toronto Star.

“Looks like Lindsay Lohan has competition now,” one amused cop told the newspaper.

Bieber was charged with one count of assault and is set to appear in court on March 10.

He and pals were being driven from a nightclub to a hotel on Dec. 30 when the alleged altercation occurred, authorities said.

Earlier in the day, attorneys for the 19-year-old singer pleaded not guilty on his behalf to Florida charges of DUI, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license.

Bieber’s attorney filed the written plea Wednesday in Miami-Dade County. Bieber has an arraignment set for Feb. 14, but Florida law doesn’t require the pop star to be present.

Bieber and R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff were arrested last week in Miami Beach during what authorities described as an illegal street drag race. Bieber also remains under investigation for felony vandalism in Los Angeles County over an egg-tossing episode that damaged his neighbor’s home.

California, Florida, Toronto. (I know there are more incidents, but this is when I began paying attention).

This is not "bad boy." This is criminal behavior. Guys got real control issues. Someone needs to take him under his wing and straighten him out before this turns tragically ugly. Clearly his father hasn't and won't.
