"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

  • Your what hurts??
I see a whole bunch of quotation marks, and the only reference is someone's Wordpress blog page.  What, if any, "documents" are these quotations from?  What was the context and on what authority was it published??

As is, this is someone's interpretation of something or many things, it is impossible to tell.

It was like this under Clinton but is worse now.

BTW: CURRENT huge headline on my IP home page

Hillary Clinton is the 'strongest' 2016 candidate

The former secretary of state picked up her most convincing support yet for a White House bid.

We knew this was coming. :2barf: :3:

"The Tea Party has a right to feel cheated.

When does the Republican Party, put in the majority by the Tea Party, plan to honor its commitment to halt the growth of the Federal monolith and bring the budget back into balance"?
