PBS to Honor Sarah Silverman, Lena Dunham as 'Women Who Make America'

by Christian Toto 21 Jan 2014, 9:55 AM PDT

The media's infatuation with Girls star/creator Lena Dunham will continue in 2014.

PBS announced this week plans for new installments of its Makers: The Women Who Make America series.

The six, one-hour documentaries will focus on business, politics and entertainment. The latter will feature interviews with Girls star Lena Dunham and comedian Sarah Silverman, among others.

Audiences hear from actress-producer-activist Jane Fonda, who at 75 is playing a sharp, sexy and powerful media mogul on the award-winning series The Newsroom; television powerhouse Shonda Rhimes, who created Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal; screenwriter Linda Woolverton, who re-imagined the traditional Disney princess by making Belle (Beauty and the Beast) a self-possessed, strong-willed young woman; writer-director-actress Lena Dunham, who mines comedy and drama gold by exploring what it’s really like to be a young woman today ... Produced by Rory Kennedy with Producer/Director Linda Goldstein Knowlton. The documentary is scheduled to air September 2, 2014.

HBO's Girls is not a ratings magnet, yet Dunham is considered by many in the media to be a new, important voice for her generation. Vogue magazine just dubbed her the new queen of comedy.

Silverman is best known these days for her strong abortion support, including appearances on behalf of abortion fundraisers.

You know that 1.1 Trillion dollar budget they just passed?  Among the items I'd slash right off the top is PBS and NPR.

Lena Dunham is one ugly individual, both inside and out.

Yeah. Good choice. There is nothing like jokes about anal sex, and defecation, and pedophilia, and violent rape, the holocaust, and every other disgusting thing you can think of, to 'change the world for the better'.

I would agree that Sarah's lifelong history of altruism, philanthropy, and self giving love for humanity would qualify her as a representative of everything good about American women, not to mention her great job as a role model for all children everywhere.

These people at PBS could not have picked a better person to represent "them" and what "they" consider to be a great human being.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.
