What if it's not single payer that's the plan?
« on: January 16, 2014, 09:15:27 pm »
Conventional wisdom among the Beltway Intelligentsia is Obamacare is nothing more than a Trojan Horse for the single-payer system.  It will fall under it's own weight as the death spiral spins down toward the bottom.  How can we disagree with them?  They go to all the right parties and write the columns.
If you take a look at the price for an Obamacare policy for the family of four or three or two, even after "subsidies" ain't cheap.  What happens?  The responsible tighten their belts and add hot dogs to another day on the weekly menu.  They also stop reproducing.  When the responsible buy diapers, diapers get donated to the poor.  When the responsible purchase food for their infant, food gets donated to the poor.
The poor reproduce anyway, like they did when they were Catholics in Jonathan Swift's day.  The wealthy can pay without blinking their trust funds.  It's the middle-class gets taxed further and further into oblivion.
That is income inequity.
Why?  Well, because I'm a bastard, that's why.

Lenin: grind the middle class between the mill stones of inflation and taxation.  Where are we today?  Right there.
