This Map Shows Which States Americans Are Moving To And Leaving

United Van Lines recently published its inbound and outbound moving data for the U.S. (This is different from the map from Atlas Van Lines we published last week, which actually shows slightly different data).

Seth Kadish at Vizual Statistix has compiled the data into a spectacular map that captures the migration flows.

It looks at which states had the greatest share of inbound moves as a percent of total moves.

The winners: Oregon and the Carolinas.

The losers: New Jersey, Illinois, and New York

Check it out:

Pretty accurate.

When does the Republican Party, put in the majority by the Tea Party, plan to honor its commitment to halt the growth of the Federal monolith and bring the budget back into balance"?

Hard to not be skeptical, insofar as North Dakota doesn't reflect the oil boom. Utah doesn't reflect the retirement boom.

Thanks to Obama everyones economies have suffered. NC was right there with CA. SC not that much better. Yet they are still better than nanny state NY or NJ.

Myself included many have had to move up to 4 times. Florida is still suffering but the no taxes are appealing. I will guess people couldn't quite afford that move from up North.
