Female Support for Obamacare Plummets

Heather Ginsberg

As Americans continue to find out more about what is actually in Obamacare, it seems that many don’t like what they find! The latest poll from CNN shows that support for Obamacare is plunging, especially among female respondents.

According to the poll, support for the ACA is only at 35 percent, while 62 percent oppose it. In the last month alone, opposition to Obamacare rose six points among women from 54 to 60 percent. The rate of opposition basically stayed the same for men.

Women, a group that the Obama administration assumed it had in the bag, are now turning against the president’s cornerstone legislation.

You can read the full results here. But the biggest conclusions to pay attention to are, that 63 percent say they think the law will increase the amount of money they pay for medical care and 42 percent say they will be worse off under Obamacare. Only 16 percent think the law will help them.

With the president now on vacation in Hawaii, who is going to make sure the women keep voting for the Democrats? Until Obamacare addresses the serious issues that many are finding, it seems that Obama will not only continue to lose women, but men too.
