New York City Mayor-elect Bill DeBlasio and 15 other newly elected mayors met with President Obama at the White House yesterday where they discussed plans to push the progressive agenda. The strategy DeBlasio described for accomplishing that goal is an Orwellian-style plan to begin turning our children into good little socialists at an early age.

“It was very interesting," de Blasio said to reporters about the meeting, "a lot of them [the mayors] talked about pre-K, a lot of them talked about early childhood education as one of the breakthrough things we have to do to change the dynamics."

Translation: Indoctrinating preschool-aged children is key to establishing a new progressive utopia in America.

Universal pre-K was reportedly one of the major topics of discussion at the meeting, and was also one of the major themes of de Blasio's mayoral campaign. He told reporters that it was a priority shared by the other mayors as well as President Obama.

“There was real passion in the president’s voice when he talked about how fundamental it is to move forward an early education agenda in this country and I think we all now know clearly that he will be a partner in all we need to do,” de Blasio said.

We have all seen the nation's education system decline since the focus shifted from actually teaching our children the fundamentals of reading, writing, and arithmetic, to taking over the role of parents and teaching a progressive view of social issues. In many school districts around the country, children are not being taught how to think anymore, they are being taught what to think. The introduction of Common Core has shifted that focus into high gear.

Progressives are not satisified with equality of opportunity in America, they foolishly believe they can guarantee equality of outcomes. One of the ways they plan to accomplish this impossible dream by ensuring that little Johnny and little Susie and all of their peers think and behave the exactly the same way..

During his talk with reporters de Blasio said he didn't "have a game plan today" but that he could "tell you the vision to me is to take that same kind of approach that Mayor Bloomberg [the current NYC mayor] used to push issues like gun control and immigration reform.

“What I think we have to do is something that reaches down more to the grassroots, a real effort to reach Americans in each and every part of this country to say this is a national imperative,” he said.

Parents and patriots, the time is now to push back hard against progressives and their ongoing effort to transform our nation into a land of socialist automatons by replacing education with indoctrination. Call your representatives and senators and tell them in no uncertain terms that you are firmly against universal pre-K, and that you want the federal government out of education altogether.

de Blasio is going to end up making David Dinkins look competent by comparison.

Thankfully, Billy Boy, you don't get to 'ef around with the "country."  Implement your socialist dreams in New York City.  When they don't work there, you'll have saved the rest of the "country" a boatload of cash.

Don't worry, he'll still wander around the rest of the country, just like Mayor Mikey Bloomberg did, trying to bring a little bit of NYC misery to the hearts of every American.
