Lawyer files request for Fuddy autopsy

"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

Really? There are always contradictions in media reports. Every single time, without fail.

The hour and a half for the rescuers to get to the scene? That makes it more likely to be an accident, not less. If you were staging a crash, you'd make damn sure to crash close to a rescue crew. When a stunt pilot crashes into the sea for a film, there is a boat right there (the cameras are on it) with a dinghy in the water and fully crewed by experienced sea rescue workers and trauma medics.

Close to the coast does not mean close to a lifeboat station.

Nevertheless, I still wonder if there was a Ron Brown-style hole in her head (caused by a .45 cal airplane crash, of course).

True - but she was 65 years old, not exactly in peak physical fitness, and they were in the water. Far easier to hold her under until she stops moving. Bet you a donut to a steak dinner that the autopsy shows bruising/cuts on her head, consistent with hitting her head during the crash and seawater in both her stomach and her lungs.

I am more interested in the pilot and other passengers. Not ruling anything out, but if it was a deliberate crash, that takes major skill to pull off successfully. If it was a target of opportunity, it'd be one (or more) of the other passengers.

Regardless of how the deed was done, she was definitely a "loose end" that needed to be taken care of.......

After all the false alarms etc, I am very cautious about trying to make a batch of soup from a single oyster. Charging ahead blindly is not an effective tactic in any situation.
