Ray was one of the greats and one of my favorite singers.
I was listening to a couple of his songs the other night. I posted a video in the Juke Box from him at age 80, still sounding as fresh as he did 40, 50 years ago. I felt a tear forming in my eye listening to "For the Good Times." That doesn't happen often.
I still like some of his last words: "The doctor said that every man will get cancer if he lives to be old enough. I don't know why I got it – I ain't old!"
Rest in peace, man.
