Quote
On Wednesday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) told her to wait until next year for comprehensive immigration reform.

“He told me, yes we have to wait until next year,” Pelosi said.

Boehner has previously said that comprehensive immigration reform is "absolutely not" dead and a Republican aide said that amnesty advocates who were confronting lawmakers should target someone other than Boehner because he supports comprehensive immigration reform.

The Senate has passed a comprehensive immigration reform bill, which has a path to citizenship provision that the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of working class Americans. The House, though, has not moved on immigration reform, largely because of conservative opposition.

President Barack Obama has said he would be okay with comprehensive immigration reform being broken up into pieces so long as all of the pieces pass. Though Boehner has previously said he would not go to conference on the exact Senate bill, he has not ruled out going to conference on various piecemeal bills.

After Tuesday's announcement of a budget deal between Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), amnesty advocates feel they will now get a vote on comprehensive immigration reform in the House during the first months of 2014.

As Breitbart News has reported, Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) said his "Republican friends" have told him they want comprehensive immigration reform in everything but name only and Democrats and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) have said advocates of comprehensive immigration reform would make a final attempt to pass the bill sometime in the spring of 2014, after the primary season.

McCain's immigration whip went to work for Boehner two weeks ago.

Yes.  The Chamber of Commerce wants it and big money donors on K-Street want it..... people who don't care what party is in charge as long as they still make billions from cheap labor and the people in DC don't care as long as they keep their jobs - being in the minority gives them cover to screw us all.

If Boehner pushes amnesty through next year, the GOP is figuratively firing a gun and splattering its brains out against the wall.  The base will be livid and done.   Wonder who will work for the GOP then?

Boehner will have achieved both Obama and Senate democrats a quite splendid victory now and for the life of this nation.
