DOVER, Del. (AP) - The state of Delaware is working to set up a task force to help residents with a hoarding problem.

As many as 45,000 people in the state are estimated to have problems with hoarding.

In advance of the hoarding task force, the state is creating an advisory panel to try to determine stakeholders who may be able to offer input into hoarding issues. The advisory panel is expected to begin next month and include police and fire agencies, local hospitals, code enforcement officials, the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health and animal welfare officials.

Officials hope to develop resources aimed at helping agencies and organizations work with people who struggle with hoarding problems.

Here we go........What will be hoarding? Who will define that one? To many dry goods, canned food or fuel saved for a rainy day? Or just at first they go after  the lady/man with all the old newspapers on top of the dryer in the garage? Then come after the ones who have saved for a rainy day? :chairbang:

What is their reason for helping with this problem? How does it hurt anyone?
