So here we have a young couple that are about to have their first child. Not only is it likely Mom's Doctor is not participating in Obamacare, neither is the hospital birth center they were counting on using. Besides, they have to cover the first $5000 out of pocket, along with their monthly premiums, and if the birth goes completely without complications it will still cost at least $6000 at some facility that is not participating in their insurance.
So in effect, the will cough up $17,000 in a year for insurance that likely as not won't pay one red cent toward maternity care, birth expenses and early childhood health expenses.
How does anyone that can add 2 +2 fall for this??
