Am I the only one who believes we have waaaaay too many bowl games and that the way we now name them have gone beyond ridiculous?   I was fine when we had the Orange Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Rose Bowl, Liberty Bowl and a few others, but now if a sponsor can rent out a stadium, and invite a couple of colleges with unimpressive records, they got themselves a Bowl.  And then they get to have fun naming it - Famous Idaho Potato Bowl,   Beef 'O' Brady's St. Petersburg Bowl,   Little Caesars Pizza Bowl,    Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, etc....  And if the sponsor can pay enough money they can rename one of those old established Bowls to whatever they want.

Though I will say the GoDaddy Bowl could have commercials worth waiting for.

It's gotten out of hand.  I have no problem with "X Bowl sponsored by Y" or the "AT&T Cotton Bowl."

I remember when the bowls had the classic names.

Chick-Fil-A Bowl aka Peach Bowl
Outback Bowl aka Hall of Fame Bowl
Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl aka Copper Bowl
Capital One Bowl aka Citrus Bowl/Tangerine Bowl
AdvoCare V100 Bowl aka Independence Bowl

I've heard that Chick-Fil-A Bowl is going back to the Peach Bowl next year due to the playoff system.

Couldnt they combine the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl with the Fight Hunger Bowl?

My cousin played football for UB a few years back.

I am amused. The Bulls got their first bowl game five years ago— in Toronto. Now they get Idaho. What do they have to do to get a warm weather bowl? At least they're the designated away team so their home blues won't disappear in the turf.
