I found this very interesting, although I don't agree with the "highlights" listed for every state.

Ditto. It all depends on your personal interests. For example, I'd rather visit Gettysburg than the Liberty Bell.

You would think those Field of Dreams guys would have period gloves to go along with their uniforms. But it would take an updated  man-card to catch a hard ball with a glove with little or no webbing kinda trapping it with your free hand.

I'm not a fan of big cities (understatement) so I would much prefer some pretty scenery.   ^-^

Obviously tilted very much in the direction of manmade stuff vs. natural terrain.

I'm surprised they didn't pick Disneyland, for California.

Gettysburg is a far more interesting destination in Pennsylvania than the Liberty Bell.

Gettysburg is a far more interesting destination in Pennsylvania than the Liberty Bell.

My ship was stationed for a year in Philly, and I think you are right.  We went on a one-day tour of Philadelphia seeing all the "in the city" historical landmarks including (pray tell why) the steps Rocky ran up in the movie, and quite frankly it was kind of a ho-hum tour. But later trips to Gettysburg and Valley Forge left me in aw, and a burning desire to return someday.
