The martial law noose is tightening around our necks
« on: December 07, 2013, 06:16:38 AM »
"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

the claim that agreements with the owners of large structures, such as malls, are ipso facto agreements to establish detention centers or political prisons goes way, way too far.  What would the author have happen in the event of a natural disaster, the owners of malls and other large structures refuse to allow anyone to shelter in their structures?  It's possible that the federal government could end up using these structures as concentration camps, but the assertion that these agreements necessarily give the federal government the legal right to do so is too speculative; it also flies in the face of common sense:  if the federal government wanted to use those facilities as concentration camps it would simply seize them under the pretext of national security, regardless of what sort of agreements, or lack of agreements, it had with the owners.

The author is on much stronger ground with the claims that ever since 2001 the federal government has been assiduously establishing many of the predicates for a fascist state.  Unfortunately that has been a fairly bipartisan project, starting under Bush with the so-called PATRIOT Act, and continuing apace under Obastard.

Exactly. In Obama's dreamland, Venezuela, the government takes anything it wants under any pretense, such as 'the owners are making too much money', or even no pretense at all. This is Obamanation.
The idea that Obama would seek agreements or contracts with the very people he despises and considers to be 'inferior' is fantasy.
Obama does what he wants despite any laws, rules, agreements, contracts, or traditions. In the same way, he takes whatever he wants. You know, as in Venezuela and all throughout history, 'Its the best for the people.'
The very people who support him now, will be the first ones against the wall.
