White House Failed to Review Many Obamacare Regulations

In the rush to get Obamacare to the American people by Oct. 1, the White House failed to give due diligence to its myriad regulations, resulting in hundreds of mistakes, The Hill reports.

Twenty-seven of the Affordable Care Act’s more than 100 regulations were fast-tracked and never received any review at all, a new study by the conservative American Action Forum finds.

The Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs — the White House office that reviews proposed and final rules — spent just 29 days reviewing the average Obamacare final rule, 81 days less than the typical review time, according to the data. Some more significant Affordable Care Act rules — those with an annual cost of $100 million or more — received even less scrutiny, just 20 days.

A third of all the Obamacare regulations contained errors, according to the report, forcing the administration to issue hundreds of corrections.

“The White House virtually gave no oversight to many of those error-filled regulations,” the report reads.

The administration neglected to review many significant proposals and final rules, including measures to amend Medicare Advantage and amendments to the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit Program.

“The administration gave less scrutiny to ACA regulations than any other cabinet agency,” according to Sam Batkins, American Action Forum’s regulatory policy director.

The average significant EPA rule is reviewed for an average of 100 days and the average Department of Education rule is under review for 34 days.

“After leaving the White House three to five times faster than average regulations, it’s no wonder the administration has issued more than 250 corrections and mea culpa after mea culpa for the Affordable Care Act,” Batkins concludes.

And there is a great deal of circumstantial evidence that Aunt Ester Sibelius did not meet Obama at the White House in 3 1/2 years, and before that she only went there for social occasions.

I remember during the aftermath of the 2008 election when Obama first addressed the mounting criticism that he had no details to fill in about any of his grand schemes.  He said then that he was only concerned with providing a vision, and would leave it to other people to fill in the actual details.  Obama acts like all he has to do is say that something should happen, and that it will magically take place at the hands of someone else.  Pelosi did the exact same thing during the long closed-door Dhimmie drafting of the ACA, which lead to her comment that they had to pass the bill to find out what is in it.

Look at the people he surrounded himself with at the start of the first term, and count how many are left.  Valerie Jarrett is about the only person (besides Obama) that remains in her original White House position.  The Communications Staff is being run by another long time Obammy fan, likely because nobody else can be found to run the White House spin machine.

Not a surprise at all that nobody reviewed any of this at the White House, because there isn't anyone there who is even remotely qualified to read, interpret and correct this level of regulation.  Nobody in the Government is qualified to do anything like this which is why it is such a cluster**** and will continue to be an ever growing cluster**** well into next year.
