One child who visited the White House today to see Christmas decorations got more than she bargained for.

The Obama family’s Portugese Water Dog, Sunny, jumped on two-year-old Ashtyn Gardner Wednesday as the toddler was waiting in a buffet line.

First lady Michelle Obama yanked Sunny’s leash after the dog jumped on the child, who ended up falling to the floor after the incident

“Are you okay, sweetie?” Obama asked.

Sunny was hungry. 

Nah - credit to Michelle - that is exactly the sort of response needed to keep the little girl calm. It worked and worked well.
