Sen. Bernie Sanders hints at White House run

Quote
Sen. Bernard Sanders, an independent who describes himself as a democratic socialist, said to his Vermont constituency in a local newspaper article that the time might be right for him to make a run for the White House.

He said that America has turned to the point where wealth discrepancies are fueling anger — and he thinks his socialist policies could prove the answer the nation needs, Breitbart reported. Specifically, Mr. Sanders said there’s a “sense of urgency” that America needs to come to grips with, and it’s rooted in the fact that political leaders maintain an “obscene level of wealth inequality” over those they govern.

He said to the Rutland Herald that “if there are not people, and there may well be, who are going to discuss these issues, somebody’s got to do it.” And he added that his possible run for the higher office was “very much in the early stages of … deliberations.”

snip

“Virtually everything I’ve told you, guess what? The views that I’m representing have majority support,” Mr. Sanders said in the paper. These ideas are not radical ideas. These are ideas that the vast majority of the people, I think, agree with.”

He's still hinting at a White House run (as a Democrat, of course), so I bring you this:  Committed Socialist Senator, Bernie Sanders, recorded a truly awful folk album ..Let’s listen!
Quote
There’s an old adage in politics: “If you’re a committed socialist who hopes to one day become a self-proclaimed socialist an independent Senator from the state of Vermont, don’t record a terrible album of folk songs.”

OK, fine.  That’s not really an old adage - but, thanks to Vermont’s Bernie Sanders, it probably will be now.

That’s because, back in 1987, then Burlington Mayor Sanders recorded what may go down in history as the worst folk-music record of all time. It seems that Sanders was not content to simply fight for abortion politically. So, he created the musical abortion known as “Bernie Sanders and 30 Vermont Artists - We Shall Overcome.”

Overcome what? I don’t know. But here’s the cover:

Please run, Bernie, please, do.

Democrats should show off their best and brightest. Let Americans take a closer look at them.

Potential – I think probable – 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, the socialist Rep. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, was a folk singer!

The music he made isn’t bad.

It’s unbelievably bad.

Back in 1987, Bernie laid down a few tracks of unadulterated left-wing bile incorporated into actual folk songs. According to the website, Seven Days, Sanders recorded the “music” when he was mayor of Burlington, Vermont.

The songs consist of Bernie lecturing about one topic or another over instrumental music while actual singers wait for him to shut up so they can start the melody.

Here, Bernie introduces “We shall Overcome” with commentary about it being “wrong to deny” that “the world is an extremely depressing place” where people engage in “the futile striving for happiness by earning more and more money to buy more and more things.”

Remember, Ronald Reagan was president at the time. Personally, I wish I had as much of that futility as possible.

Here he is ruining forever the song, “This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land.” I’ll have Bernie know that this land is MY land because I’m paying a mortgage on it.

And finally, the destruction of “Where Have all the Flowers gone,” in which he criticized the fighting of the Revolutionary War.

God, I hope he runs.

I think Amanda Curtis in Montana has that endorsement 100%.

Apparently not yet.  But go on People's World (A communist party USA publication) and search for either Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders...and make sure you have plenty of time to read!

He has actually suggested a lot that he might be running third party.
