"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

Consider his audience:
Quote
he told his audience at the DreamWorks studio in Glendale, Calif

That he stresses his putative "kindness" with this crowd is not at all surprising. With Liberals it's always about "intent", not consequences. So ObamaCare leaves a swath of wreckage in its wake? It was "intended" to help and with Liberals that is what counts.

Nothing wrong with kindness. It's a good way to go through and enjoy life. Calling someone "kind" is one of the highest compliments a person can give another. *

I'd rather see policies based on intelligence, thorough analysis of all the alternatives, and sound theory with practical examples though.

* Calling yourself kind doesn't count. Only when others do it.

Our 'beloved' Secretary of State, John, Lurch, Kerry has even called for a kinder and gentler war.  It's a better way to kill each other. :silly:
