Am I the only one that finds it ironic that the biggest driver towards peace and co-operation in the Middle East at the moment is a rogue theocracy?

And an incompetent, out of his depth, charlatan.
Why?  Well, because I'm a bastard, that's why.

SA and Israel have one big thing in common. A growing mistrust of the US. An attack by Israel from SA bases without prior knowledge or involvement of the US would be a well deserved slap in the face

Iran is a threat to both of them. Israel, for obvious reasons. SA because they control the two holiest sites in Islam and that is not to be accepted.

The Saudi Royal family, who control everything, are pretty much live and let live as far as Israel goes. Their supporters, not so much, but they'll grudgingly accept the decision.

But true that neither trust the USA any more.

Most of the world has that in common.
