To BIG to Fix, and more importantly Too BIG to protect from hackers and ID theft.

God I pray that the Democrats now backing away from it for their own political  survival demand the pressing of the reset button, and stop the madness.

Both Windows Vista and Window 7 have about 50 Million Lines of Code.    500 Million Lines of code asked for from a group of government contractors is like asking a Kids Model Rocket club to build something  for the first manned trip to mars - and the rocket goes up on the due date ready or not.
