On Friday, all hell broke loose among the left in the main stream media and on social media sites like Twitter. Once again cries to pull Limbaugh off the air and boycott his sponsors filled the airwaves.

What was Limbaugh's sin this time?  In discussing the filibuster, Limbaugh modified the age-old analogy of the wolf and sheep deciding what to have for dinner to compare it to a room full of men and women voting for rape.

Quote
Every now and then, some lunatic in the group proposes to change the rule to allow women to be raped. But they never were able to get six votes for it. There were always the four women voting against it and they always found two guys. Well, the guy that kept proposing that women be raped finally got tired of it, and he was in the majority and he was one that [said], 'You know what? We're going to change the rule. Now all we need is five. And well, 'you can't do that.' 'Yes we are. We're the majority. We're changing the rule.' And then they vote. Can the women be raped? Well, all it would take then is half of the room. You can change the rule to say three. You can change the rule to say three people want it, it's going to happen…When the majority can change the rules there aren’t any.

The reaction to Limbaugh was swift and harsh. Limbaugh, however, was always one step ahead of the game. Without announcing it, Limbaugh wasn't using his own analogy but paraphrasing an analogy used by the left over and over against Republicans.

Limbaugh's words were not uniquely his, but simply paraphrased from such liberal luminaries as Vice President Joe Biden,  Senator Harry Reid and so many more.

Quote
When a woman got raped, blame her because she was wearing a skirt too short, she looked the wrong way or she wasn't home in time to make the dinner,” Biden said.
“We've gotten by that,” he said. “But it's amazing how these Republicans, the right wing of this party – whose philosophy threw us into this God-awful hole we’re in, gave us the tremendous deficit we’ve inherited – that they’re now using, now attempting to use, the very economic condition they have created to blame the victim – whether it’s organized labor or ordinary middle-class working men and women. It's bizarre. It's bizarre.” - Vice President Joe Biden, March 2011

Quote
Biden is making Paul Ryan his prison bitch! - President Obama’s campaign co-chair Eva Longoria

Quote
“I wish these guys who thought it was temporary, I wish they had some notion of what it was like to be on the other side of a gun, or [to have] a 200-pound man standing over you, telling you to submit,” Biden told a crowd at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia on Tuesday, adding, “Folks, it matter, it matters.” - Vice President Joe Biden October 2011

Quote
The tea party driven part of the Republican party doesn't follow logic. Why would they want to close the government for 15 days and have us default on our debt? Introduction of this measure by House Republican leadership is unproductive and a waste of time. It is a rape of our economy. Let's be clear: The House legislation will not pass the Senate. We will not let this rape happen. - Senator Harry Reid October 2013

...and then there is the typical fundraiser for Democrat Senator Alan Grayson (explicit language so not quoting here)-

Stay classy Dems, Limbaugh is just quoting you.

(and don't worry, we have many, many more examples where these came from. The best is yet to come.)

Just a few more....

Quote
“the GOP that’s leading us – we don’t know where they’re taking us, but they’re raping us along the way.” - Democrat Party Official Randy Voller

...and one sure to draw ire, Pat Oliphant paints Republican Presidential candidates as child rapists in this political cartoon.

.....this isn't the end either...

Oh, MSNBC lurkers, don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you.  You could write a book about of your network's use of the analogy about Republicans.
