D.C. has not been spared of this violent trend.

One local woman, who was attacked on 14th Street NW in Columbia Heights on Thursday, tells DCist.com she believes to have been a target of this game, as a group of around eight males on bikes came up behind her, with one hitting her in the head. According to the report, police categorized the attack as “simple assault.”

The woman tells the publication she believes others in the area should be on the lookout for similar types of attacks.

These kids need some serious time behind bars, and life if someone is killed or critically injured. To hit someone for sport is pure evil.

When I was 19, I was in a car accident. Among my injuries was damage to my occipital nerve. The doctor told me a hard jolt in the right place could leave me blind. I've been through a lot of jolts, but so far, nothing serious. I imagine a blow to the head by one of these thugs might do me in. So many kinds of injuries can come from a blow to the head, as we already know. This is outrageous!
