"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

They'll rally to back him up soon enough...they'll criticize his technocrat abilities regarding implementation, but they'll be covering for him, his intentions to help people and his overall policy direction soon enough.  Then they'll be able to say they criticized him when he bungled things...giving themselves cover to praise him anew when this gets stuck on the back burner again.  You know, like when Israel has to take out Iranian nukes...

Exactly. This is a pressure relief of sorts. The rollout of Obamacare is so bad, and so many people are upset, that to ignore it would cause even more frustration. But the media love for Obama is deep and unshakable. They will rally around him and the Democrats well before the 2014 elections.
