That was Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence’s advice to girls facing criticism from others over their body image.
Lawrence, speaking Thursday at a Yahoo! question and answer session aimed at promoting the upcoming “Hunger Games” movie, made the comments in response to a question a father asked on behalf of his daughter.
“What is your advice to young girls dealing with the same treatment from their peers and response to those who judge others based on appearances?” the man asked.
Lawrence did not mince her words while responding, noting “it’s something everyone experiences” because “the world has a certain idea” of how a woman should look, based on “airbrushed perfect model
