20% of VA electorate said abortion was most important issue in their vote. McAuliffe winning 2-1 among that group.

The problem with Virginia is the same as states like Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Michgan.  One area controls the state.

Virginia- Arlington/DC area were all the government parasites live and vote Dem nearly down to the last person
Pennsylvania-Philly
Illinois- Thugville
Michigan- Urban Wasteland aka Detroit

According to Drudge at 4:40 PST, Cuccinelli is off to a landslide over Terry Rodham McAuliffe.  Terry is in the thirties right now and we shall have to see how much that changes as the night wears on, but that is a damned fine start...

The problem with Virginia is the same as states like Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Michgan.  One area controls the state.

Here on the West Coast it's Seattle and environs for WA and Portland and environs for OR. The division is referred to West Side vs East Side (of the Cascades).

On another thread the 13 best cities for Conservatives included Spokane which is the largest city in eastern WA and usually loyally Republican, but the remainder of the East Side is rural and we have a devil of a time overcoming the Liberalism of the West Side.
