This weekend, Al Sharpton appeared in the opening Saturday Night Live skit in an attempt by Lorne Michaels and crew to absolve themselves for their lack of diversity on the show.

TruthRevolt wrote about it here.

On today's Politics Nation, Al Sharpton explained why he decided to appear on SNL. In typical Sharpton fashion, he was willing to absolve SNL of their declared sin - in exchange for giving him an opportunity for self-aggrandizement.

So now, rather than duck the issue that had been brought up by some about its cast-- dealt with it head on and promised to rectify it.

The self-appointed arbiter of racial propriety in America, Sharpton made clear his willingness to help SNL deal with any racial faux pas in the future, for the same price.

For that, I'll show up live any night

Good work if you can get it.
