The source of Harry Reid’s lie that Romney didn’t pay taxes for 10 years: Jon Huntsman’s daddy

Hey, this is one way for that loser to get his name back in the news. Huntsman ’16!

TPM:

The source of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) infamous claim during the 2012 presidential campaign that Mitt Romney had not paid any taxes in 10 years was Jon Huntsman Sr., the father of fellow GOP rival Jon Huntsman, according to a new book by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann called  “Double Down…”

“He didn’t pay taxes for 10 years! Now, do I know that that’s true? Well, I’m not certain,” Reid told the Huffington Post. “But obviously he can’t release those tax returns. How would it look?”

In much the same way that nobody has ever proven the allegations that Senator Reid is a serial pedophile. Now, do I know that he is one? Well, I’m not certain. But you don’t see him denying it, do you? How would it look?

More recently, Reid lied about an unnamed Republican House leader telling President Obama to his face that he couldn’t stand to look at the man. Stay tuned for Reid’s next lie.

What a surprise, not.
