Actually, that's not true.  The Tea Party was, by every poll, responsible for the shutdown, and the country, overwhelmingly, hated the shutdown.  The Tea Party tactics were a failure; Obamacare was neither defunded or delayed.

Obamacare, by itself, is a failure and is proving to be a failure.  The Tea Party has absolutely nothing to do with the revulsion many are experiencing now.  That revulsion is due to the website screwup, Obama's lies about being able to keep insurance, and the lie about lowering costs.

Now you're just making up stuff.  The majority of Americans said the (partial) shutdown had no effect on them whatsoever.

The only people feeling "revulsion" toward the Tea Party are liberals, the GOPe . . .  and you.

Standing up for principle is good.  Employing tactics that damage your cause is stupid, and that's what Ted Cruz did.

He'll never admit that, of course, because he's raking in the cash for his run for President.

If he's "raking" in the cash ....  how exactly was he hurt?

"Cruz" wasn't hurt.  Sink was hurt because the man he hates as much or possibly more than Sarah Palin is so popular he will be around to agonize Sink for years to come... The only that would have have made Sink happy was for Cruz to crash and burn for standing up for all of us instead of K-Street like his "friend" Cornyn did last weekend along with Mitch McConnell.
