"Republicans had a chance to win a U.S. Senate seat and in the process, send a powerful message to Obama, and instead, they shut down government with no message and no game plan," he said.

Damn you Ted Cruz!

Lonegan said Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham's attack on the tea party "drove a stake into our heart."

"That's the first time we started to see the momentum move against us," he said. "They both should be primaried for what they did."

Never mind Ted, Lonegan blames McCain and Graham for shutting down the government with no game plan.
"Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans."  -  President Donald J Trump

Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!.....
...They have been in our country for many years through no fault of their own - brought in by parents at young age. Plus BIG border security

What a lame-assed moron!!

He was NEVER going to win that Senate seat, but now Lonegan's got a convenient excuse.  He was begging the GOP to continue taking a huge hit just to save him.

I wasn't aware the tea party was a huge presence in New Jersey.

Sinkspur why are you so far left but then proclaiming to be a republican. You don't like the real republicans just the rhinos. I have been in the party since I was 21 and no one I have met in all that time I am now 68 has ever been as far left as you and the ones you go on about. I of course have met a few moderates Bush for one but never men or women I would call socialists. I have been all over the country in the past for the party and was once very active like my father. I have managed to stay away from McCain wouldn't even go see him when he was here when he was running for president. I didn't really like him even then but decided to vote for him which is something I will never do again. I will not hold my nose while I vote for a man I can't stand just because he is wearing the republican moniker. This past year Romney at least had a very good character and I respected that even though he was more of a moderate than I liked I was still proud to vote for him. You really don't like us tea partiers but then we aren't very fond of you either.
