NBC Correspondent Admits ‘This Sounds A Lot Like a Campaign...’

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbXmeHy_Mdo

On Andrea Mitchell Reports today, NBC White House correspondent Peter Alexander admitted that Obama’s current healthcare strategy “sounds a lot like a campaign...”

When fill-in host Kristen Welker asked Alexander what he believed to be the White House’s strategy moving forward, Alexander painted the “strategy” in unflattering terms:

I think in some ways this sounds a lot like a campaign, doesn’t it, Kristen? Obviously with the remarks on Oct 1 by the president, the remarks again today... Beginning this week the president is going to send out his team, cabinet officials, top members ... to head to areas they really rely on...

Initiate the slow clap for a network news employee finally beginning to comprehend what conservatives mean by the “Campaigner in Chief.”

The president’s rather pitiful Obamacare defense address on Monday was just more evidence of the degree of panic sweeping through his administration. Their deepest fear: that the young and healthy are going to turn away from the flawed exchanges, driving the system into the dreaded “death spiral.”

I recall Rush Limbaugh predicting that Barack Obama was going to pi$$ off the 'youth' and the 'low information voter'.

He said it wouldn't be a political deed, but rather something like dissing Justin Bieber that would be the catalyst in bringing Obama down to earth politically.

I believe a concerted effort by the GOP to produce a hard-hitting 30 second that is tantamount to Ryan throwing Granny off that cliff is what we need.

"Don't let the Obamacare death panels strike down your Bubbie and Zadie!  OBAMACARE MUST GO!   OBAMA MUST GO!"

...see how easy that was?

Rush was right.

Going to generalize here a second. Low info voters don't care about anything that is not in their field of vision at the time. The young expect technology to be instant gratification and perfect every single time, without fail. Not for them the joys of spending 20 hours downloading a music file - they want HD movies streamed in real time.

The Obamacare balls up might not break this camel's back, but it has started people who are normally on the Dem reservation asking questions. It is now up to the Repubs to keep them asking. Some will get bored, others will scream "hype" and go look at pictures of cats, so it is a delicate balance.
