Roy Moore's "spiritual warfare" is driving past a junior high without stopping.

I wouldn't mind seeing them draft Judge Andrew P. Napolitano to fill a position like that.

Then again, they may have to settle for a _lady_ general !!  ;)

I'm not sure anyone who is not in elective office can be this "General Washington."

Excellent article.  Good to see you back. :patriot:

Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!.....

Cheney and Gingrich are the only names I come up with the kind of minds and stature, and experience, and wisdom.

There's certainly no one in today's GOP who could be the General Washington of the GOP.

We've got lots of General Gates' though.

I'm having trouble thinking of anyone that fits the bill. There are a lot of people I like but they aren't the leaders we need. The likes of Palin, Cruz, and others can rally the troops on specific causes or actions, but we need something different.

I believe we need a combination of:

Dynamic personality that plays well on TV.
Blunt nature with the willingness to call it like it is, not play politically correct.
Not an existing or career politician.
Lacking any real dirt (we can expect drummed up dirt on anyone but they need to be clean of major scandals like real affairs, bankruptcy, or worse).
Someone people will see as anti-DC, not in a hateful way but in a housecleaning way.
Leaning slightly 'small l' libertarian, but not too close to the crazies of big L Libertarians and their crew- (ie, not obsessed with the pot issue or an isolationist).  Overall solidly Conservative but against nannyism that sometimes creeps in with some like Huckabee.

...and
Military background.
or
Business background (real business that is product based).

I also would like to see someone who wears the apron like Washington and bring true measure back to actions in DC.
