When Halsey Parkerson’s aunt picked him up from school on Thursday, she overheard the teenage boy being bullied by one of his peers.
Parkerson’s aunt pressed him for details and the teenager reluctantly admitted he had no friends and that being bullied was a casual occurrence.
His aunt decided to take immediate action.

She sent out a Facebook message to a car group she affiliates with and asked them to go with her to visit the campus and have lunch with Parkerson on Friday.
No one could have ever guessed how many people would show up.
On Friday, car after car after car rolled into South Salem High School’s parking lot ultimately carrying about 100 people to the campus.
“It’s just unbelievable,” Halsey told KATU-TV. “I now know whenever I get bullied I’ll raise my head up and say, ‘Sorry, I have too many friends to think I’m being bullied.’”
The teen, now with his comradery of nearly 100 individuals, then walked up to the student who had bullied him earlier.
The unidentified bully suddenly had a change of heart.
“I apologize. I apologize. I take it back,” the bully said, after high-fiving Parkerson.
Now Parkerson is encouraging others who have been bullied to take a stand.
“If you’re being bullied, stand up and express yourself,” he said.
As his story goes viral, Parkerson’s Facebook page is being flooded with an outpouring of comments.
“You got 101 new friends anytime you need someone to chat with,” a man named George Lenard Jr. wrote on his wall. “I am a former boxer / bodyguard bu tI am someone also who will listen when needed. I am honored to be your friend.”
“Once your [sic] out of school, everything changes,” wrote Jack Simmons.
“Thanks for being a friend, if you ever need to talk, let me know,” wrote Attie L. Trogden.
“You’re not alone Halsey,” said Oliver Tango Lazana. “There are still many good people around. Stay strong dude.”
