"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

Not sure how much I trust those news sources, but the technology is certainly there for an implant or tattoo to fully perform the duties of the  "Mark of the Beast". . And we are so far beyond the RFID in technology.    Working in Logistics we are shown demonstrations of new technology all the time on how to track parts within the  supply chain. Some of it would blow you away. Did you know those QR Codes (the little pixilated boxes your smart phone can read) can hold the same about of information as a bar-code 3-feet long?  We have become so accustomed to QRs, how much pushing will they need to do to tattoo one on the back of your hand. Much today's generation would think it kind of cool to have one, unless they are schooled by their parents or the church that the Mark of the Beast is a real thing.  And many churches, maybe even the majority of them spend very little time, if at all teaching end-time prophecy.
It was a big thing when I was a young Christian in the 1960s, and 70's with all the end-times books hitting the Christian book stores - Hal Lindsey's Late Great Planet Earth being the most notable.   But today it seems there is far less interest in it, it seems to me, and that is what I find most strange, because what Hal wrote about in 1970 seemed impossible,  but it is here and now. Take the "cashless society" for instance. I could not imagine how you could go without cash, and be able to go into any store and buy stuff with a card. Well today I hardly ever have cash in my wallet. The only thing I use actual money for is the coffee kitty at work.
A nation that turns away from prayer will ultimately find itself in desperate need of it. :Jonathan Cahn
