Political loyalty can turn on a dime. Take me for instance. In the past I have given money to Bush/Cheney, Romney/Ryan and the Republican party. Today? Fugeddaboutit.

Today my view is Republicans in Washington are part of the problem. Only, they're slightly less of a problem than Socialist Democrats. On second thought they're worse than 'rats because the Republican brand is a lie. With Democrats at least you know what you're getting, "Vote for me and I'll give you stuff."

With Republicans it's "Don't bother reading the fine print. I got you covered."

Ditto. In the past few years I've given to Gohmert and Cruz, not to the party.

RNC OUTRAISES DNC BY $2 MILLION: The Republican National Committee has posted another month of strong fundraising, besting its Democratic counterpart by about $2 million. The RNC raised $5.9 million in July, against the $3.8 million posted by the Democratic National Committee. The RNC had $12.3 million cash on hand at the end of July. The DNC has $4.1 million cash on hand but an $18 million debt hole left to work out of. “There’s great energy in the Republican Party, and we stand united behind the cause of building a permanent, nationwide campaign,” RNC chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement.

We will survive somehow.

How can this be?  Why, just yesterday I was told nobody was contributing to the RNC and that major contributors were, instead, shoveling their money to the Tea Party.

You're using some loaded words Famous.  I wish I didn't have to say I'm a father of 5,  I love my country, and I want a bright future for everybody.  I don't know your position on every issue but I think we probably agree on many goals.  A balanced budget.  An end to abortion.  An end to Obamacare.  The end of illegal immigration.  No erosion of our rights to speech and self protection.  A population that is more self reliant.

Where we disagree is tactics.  I am saddened at my failure to express my ideas so badly that you would believe I want reckless spending and promotion of the parasites of our society.

I don't believe you are stupid because you believe conservatives had the power to stop the SCOTUS upheld ACA law.  I don't think you are evil because you thought some magical grass roots would rise up and force the GOP to sacrifice their careers on a plan with no direction.  I don't believe you must be drunk to suggest principles are what a majority of voters want.  I just think you are wrong.  Not evil.

Lets not insult the motives of each other or this will get boring fast.

Five?  You told us four a while back... so congrats on the new baby.

Those numbers are from July, and they are nearly all corporate and PAC contributions (as one would expect in a non-election year). Go to the FEC and look it up. Corporations don't make phone calls or knock on neighbor's doors... and GOP voter registration is down.. for some odd reason....can't imagine why. Oh yeah, there's John McCain opening his yap on MSNBC again...
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

I'd be interested to see any source you might cite for your claim GOP voter registration is down.  Is rat registration down more or less?

For the past two weeks, we've examined the campaign cash behind 20 "dissident" GOP House members deemed by the New York Times to be perpetual thorns in the Republican leadership's side. New quarterly filings show that, overall, despite a reported bump in fundraising for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), this group of Republicans actually didn't do particularly well between July 1 and Sept. 30.
