Except it doesn't annoy me.  I don't live anywhere near DC.  And it apparently isn't doing much, as this is the only place I'm reading about it.

I did read that the leader of the group is a flaming birther, which gives the whole movement a really nutty flavor.

There is one of the problems. So many bad stories out there to discredit it. One participant made a facebook page on his own with a few hundred followers and he is a birther so the media focuses on him. His is not the main organizing page (with 178K likes).  The media falsely reported they were going to try to arrest members of congress and the President. Again, not a true story. One person made a remark on one of the social media pages and that is all the media focuses on.

It is just how the media operates now and why it is important the real event happen- to prove their stories wrong.

Something interesting is happening that I'm checking on. I read on a post by a FB friend that they are starting to turn off traffic cameras around DC. I am about to go check the traffic camera sites myself and confirm this. If true, the PTBs really don't want this getting out which is all the more important reason that it happen.

Interesting, on the traffiland link, if you pan over to around Fort Smith park across the Potomac, all the way down 66 to Arlington, about 75% of the traffic cams are down. A few others across the river into DC itself.

Heretraffic is showing 95 south of Arlington is not moving.

Trafficland is starting to lock up so I'll check again later.

If it isn't zoomed, zoom into DC and you'll see. It is like a void. Cameras all around it but not DC.

The original claim was 4,300 RSVPd on Facebook but you know how that goes.
The media has reports from 'less than a dozen' to 'a few dozen'.

From watching the various images and posted reports on Facebook and Twitter, I am estimating a few hundred.
