Hundreds Break Through Barriers at the Lincoln Memorial
« on: October 12, 2013, 06:15:04 pm »
Raw video, http://bit.ly/19GKw5d , from the moment hundreds broke the barricade at the closed Lincoln Memorial in DC. KLTV 7's Taylor Hemness was there recording the moment. See the video here.

It was a local Texas small-town reporter who happened to be there. I can't find any other outlet reporting it (although it just happened).

Unfortunately the park service turned off the web cams around the Lincoln Memorial.

I'm finding more images on Twitter from tourists. I'll post them as I get them.

If the media (except KLTV out of Tyler, Texas) doesn't report it, did it happen? YES it did.

The police have put the Barrycades back up.

That is very much like how the Soviets handled any public disturbances during the days of Stalin. Oh, yes, people did periodically rebel but the Soviets, who controlled all the media simply did not report it lest other serfs start getting some ideas.

If anyone needs a public display of Obama's arrogance, the above police presence at the Lincoln Memorial is a perfect display.

This is a good time to remind everyone (especially the hundreds of lurkers we have online) that this 'shutdown' was supposed to be simply a 17% budget reduction. These departments under the guidance of their specific leadership in the administration, chose to go to this extreme (in most cases apparently, spending more to shut things down that it costs to keep them open).

In the case of the National Park Service, shutdown orders came from the Secretary of the Interior who answers directly to the President.

They could have simply looked for ways to trim their budgets, instead, you get all this drama.

To Obama and his comrades, there is no Constitution.  It would not surprise me if at some point Obama just declares weapons illegal and uses the military to enforce his "presidential" order. :peeonobama:

Take a really good look at the pics in post #7 above.

This is America's future under the leftists/socialists.

The Republicans aren't doing much to contest it.

What alternatives do the people have left?

1. Stop looking to the next government savior to fix something.

Exactly.  24 years after the Soviet Union crumbled we in this country are merrily resurrecting it here.

By not stopping the crowd today.....sets up a perfect trap for the Veteran's March tomorrow morning.

What if Barack decides to have a couple of Armored Personnel Carriers (APC) there?

Like I said....you cannot trust this Administration to do the proper thing.  They showed us all by allowing the Illegal Immigration Rally.

Maybe not the planned scenario.  Remember all that ammo Big Sis purchased for all those non-military agencies?

Did you see the other thread with the video of the vets at the Iwo Jima memorial? A young MP stood up for the vets and confronted the Park police who were blocking off the park.

Don't believe the problem would be soldiers.  Law enforcement on the other hand.

I did not.  That's terrific....although that MP is going to lose that position and he's being shipped off to the Middle East.
