Sure.  If they want to take steps to turn it into single payer.

Obama's playing with the Republicans because he knows he's won.

If he won it is because the boys in the GOP you love to support don't have a full set of balls between them.

"He's not one to think the Affordable Care Act is a perfect bill, and if we could come up with ideas that he thinks have merit, he would certainly consider them," said Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction of Medicare, Medicaid and other key health programs.

:bigsilly:

Some one has been singularly unable to learn the lessons of what happened when Obastardcare was being rammed down our throats the first time, and when the stimulus boondoggle was forced on us:  when Obastard says he'll "consider" something the republicans offer, it doesn't mean he'll think about it in good faith, and certainly doesn't mean that he would adopt it if it were a good idea; all it means is that he'll sit there nodding his head, pretending to listen, and then he'll go off and do whatever it was he wanted to do in the first place, without any real consideration for what the GOP has just offered up.  Instead, he'll try to have his minions caress some GOP ego in the back rooms of Congress, make the GOP feel good about itself because, dammit, it got Obastard to listen to them, and that'll get just enough of them to come on over for some more petting, maybe a scratch behind the ear, from the democrats, and there will be just enough GOP support for whatever it is Obastard wants to do.

This idiot is an almost perfect example of the spineless cluelessness most of the GOP and non-politician republicans suffer from.

I really hate that Palin bailed that old fart out at the 11th hour and Utah didn't send him packing.
