Charges: Woman Robbed of iPhone, Urinated on in St. Paul

A 19-year-old St. Paul man is charged after a woman had her iPhone stolen and was then held down and urinated on.
According to the criminal complaint, the woman was approached by a silver-colored vehicle with four black men wearing wigs around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. She was standing in the 500 block of Farrington Street talking on her phone. They pretended to ask for directions, and when the woman came closer they pulled her toward the car and took her iPhone.
Three other men got out of the vehicle and one of them pulled her by the hair to the sidewalk, pushed her to the ground, pulled her pants down and then urinated on her, the criminal complaint states. The woman reported she thought she was going to get raped. She heard one man say, “Mitch you took that white b****’s phone.”
The men then took off in their vehicle, headed west on Edmund from Farrington.
The woman suffered a cut to her wrist and above her eye.
Officers later found the silver vehicle and the driver was later identified as 19-year-old Miklos Terrell Dates Jr. Five other people where also in the vehicle, who were all juveniles.
An iPhone was found in the trunk and a wallet belonging to the victim was found in the center console. Officers also found a plastic baggie of marijuana. More marijuana was discovered under a seat in a metal tin.
Terrell said the phone was his friend’s and the car was his “auntie’s”. Officers later discovered the car was a rental that was never returned, and not reported stolen yet.
Officers took the cell phone into the St. Paul property room. While it was there a call came in and an officer answered. The caller stated the phone was stolen from his friend in a robbery.
On Thursday, the victim identified the driver through a photo line up as Dates Jr.
Dates Jr. has been charged with first-degree aggravated robbery and fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
