Sure didn't stop him from having an off the record sit down with POTUS and the grinning like a Cheshire cat over it, when a honest journalist would have refused to go off record.

Let's not shoot the messenger. I know Krauthammer isn't a rock solid conservative, but he is often reasonable and insightful.

I'm sorry, but your post elicits visions of FR style conservative purity tests. I doubt that was your intention, I'm not attacking you, just telling you how it comes across to me.

I disagree with CK more than I agree with him.  He is very critical of the conservative wing of the republican party and falls into the Karl Rove group.

I also agree with Rapunzel that he didn't refuse the "off the record" meeting which is what I would have thought he would do.   Of course, none of the others did either so there you go.

On the other hand, my disgust of Obama is probably clouding my opinion.

Exactly.  Meet with Obama - but transparency is the word as far as I am concerned - be it journalists or Boehner.
