Two men who entered a competitive shooter’s home might have thought they hit the jackpot and even outsmarted the system by noticing and taking the home’s security camera.

What they didn’t anticipate was that the camera had already recorded the footage and streamed it to an online website for owner Mike Craig to review.

Oklahoma City police are now using the footage to try and identify the two men who broke in through Craig’s backdoor last month while he was out of town, according to KWTV-TV.

The pair made off with hundreds of dollars of cash and eight guns – two handguns and six semiautomatic rifles.

Craig, also a firearm collector, told the local news station the thieves didn’t take some of the more valuable long guns he had in plain sight. Some are from the Civil War and Vietnam.

“They took all the guns that were black, you might say,” Craig said.

Just before one of the men noticed and grabbed the camera, it captured a relatively clear shot of his face.

Police are using these images and a tip from a neighbor, who said they saw two young black males in a dark green sedan before the robbery, according to KWTV. Craig is offering a $2,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the suspects’ arrests.

.

“Anytime you have a situation like this, where there are weapons obviously in the wrong hands, it’s something we take very seriously,” Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow told KWTV. “We want to get these guys caught, hopefully get these weapons recovered, and back to their rightful owner.”

Craig said he wonders if the thieves somehow knew about the firearms in the house prior to targeting him.

It obviously was not a robbery, judging by the picture of the perp. it was simply "redistribution of wealth" and Obama would be happy to have the perp as a son. :Odance:
