The Obama fundraising machine is the latest casualty of the government shutdown, but not for the reason one might expect.

The First Lady won't be coming to Tinsel Town Friday after all, making it the latest Obama fundraiser to suffer at as a result of the government impasse.

Now Michelle Obama will not be coming to the LA of Everybody Love Raymond creator Philip Rosenthal on Friday as a substitute for her husband because of the ongoing government shutdown. One source cited the optics of the First Lady headlining the big ticket event while many government workers aren’t collecting their pay checks as the primary reason for the cancellation

I notice Tom Hanks is less than pleased with the way Obama is treating WWII vets.  Gee, you don't suppose that was more than Hollyweird liberals want to show approval for by having Moochelle speak, do you?  A tacit approval of that debacle could mean some bad box office receipts.
