Shutdown Poll: Obama bears more blame than Tea Party
« on: October 04, 2013, 06:35:07 PM »
"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

As many Republicans on Capitol Hill begin to lose their nerve, advocating capitulation to end the shutdown, Tea Party-backed candidates who remain vigilant opponents of an ever-increasing federal government are seeing their position resonate with the public.

LOL!!  Is THAT what this writer infers from that poll?  How silly.  That's a leap totally unjustified by anything from the poll, indeed, or from any other poll.

Yes, the blame for the Tea Party has morphed into blame for the entire Republican Party.  Is the Tea Party part of the Republican Party or not?

If you want to make a leap, combine the Tea Party at fault with the blame heaped on the Republican Party,  and you get 42% of the country blaming the GOP.  Not good numbers at all.
