CASE SOLVED: Effingham gun sign thefts case solved, arrest made
« on: October 03, 2013, 02:03:21 pm »

Gun haters intolerant not only of gun rights, but also free speech rights.

Guns Save Life director Don Huskey, who hails from Effingham, was perplexed when signs touting his “All American SHO-Show” gun shows started turning up missing in and near Effingham during the month of September.

He replaced the signs, on private property where he had owner permission to post them, and they too turned up missing.

“It’s frustrating,” he told GSL’s president John Boch.  “It’s really frustrating.”

Well, last week Don Huskey got some good news.

Police made an arrest.

Of course, just like in the opening intro to COPS on television, “All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”

It turns out the mystery suspect was none other than the former Effingham city council member, 61-year-old Larry Micenheimer, who lost his recent race for mayor of the city while running as a Democrat.

Huskey said Micenheimer is a retired High School guidance counselor and not surprisingly, Micenheimer’s been described as a “little” left of center in his political ideology.

When police questioned the former Democrat city council member, Micenheimer told them that he was merely enforcing city ordinances that the police should be enforcing.  “He practically begged them to charge him I was told,” Huskey said.

Huskey was careful to note the signs weren’t in violation of ordinances or codes and believes Micenheimer’s claim is nothing but cover for the former Democrat council member’s deep-seated hatred of guns and the disrespect he has for others’ constitutional rights.

Huskey wrote, “He left alone signs right next to ours like ’70% off furniture liquidation sale’, yard sale signs, houses for rent, payday loan signs, etc.”

“Our persistence paid off in the end, though,” Huskey said with a grin.

That says it all right there.

Just as gun activists’ persistence is paying off with gun rights for everyone, Don Huskey’s persistence paid off against a man who hated gun rights so much he was apparently willing to commit felonies to stifle other people’s First Amendment rights as well.

Why is it that gun control advocates are such control freaks?

Why is it that gun control advocates are such control freaks?

A question that answers itself. Control freaks don't want their subjects to be armed. Makes control much more difficult.
