I think the strategy of passing individual funding bills is good PR.

This forces the Democrats to consistently and specifically vote 'no' to funding individual parts of the government with no Obamacare implications.

Now we'll see who the 'Party of No' really is...

We've been "shut down" now for a couple of days and the sky hasn't fallen, nor has there been the media firestorm the moderate GOPers were sure was coming.  In fact, everyone's life seems to be going along normally.  The stock market hasn't crashed.  The world hasn't come to an end.  It might be a good thing if the people figured out they can do without non-essential services.  The federal government shouldn't be doing anything non-essential to begin with.

I hope they never resolve this.

The media arm of the Obama administration showcased an interview on NPR--a teary-eyed teacher that had to take her students to a state park rather than a federal park yesterday.

That's the reporters at NPR for you.  They never met a victim they didn't like.

Come to think of it, since NPR is funded by the federal government and doesn't protect life or property, shouldn't they be shut down, too?

I can think of no government-funded program more "non-essential" than NPR.
