"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

"But rest assured, there is no attempt to Islamize America. At least, "Islamize" is not the proper word, of course. The state merely wishes to foster "sensitivity" and "understanding."

Children are being sent to school to learn "sensitivity" and "understanding of Islam?"'

I thought the purpose of school was an education preparing students to become productive members of society, not to teach "sensitivity and understanding of islam." :pondering:  I sent this article to the superintendent of our schools suggesting this was a clear violation of church and state. :nono:
