Jim Robinson, owner of Free Republic,  is scheduled to have his right leg amputated this coming Monday.

That's pretty rough.  Prayers for his healing and keeping a strong spirit - prayers too for his caregivers.

Ugh.  Diabetes is such an insidious disease.  Best wishes to Jim for an uneventful surgery and rehabilitation/recovery.

Muscular dystrophy is why he's in a chair, plus he had a leg amputated a few years ago.

This is the other leg, probably due to diabetes.

Are we now going to get Recovery room and daily updates about a site owner who banned people for not falling all over themselves to endorse Sarah Palin and various other offending views?  What gives? 

So he's not in good health.  Lots of us have gone through major stuff as well.

Pray for Jim Holt of the Gateway Pundit.  A really good guy.

Jim and I have had our differences but I still have posting privileges over there although I never make use of them these days, until today that is. I had to post to this thread to let him know that he and his family are in my prayers. 

I wouldn't have known a thing about any of this without your post here Machiavelli so thank you!

The last I read on the site was that after four procedures and more than four weeks in hospital he *may* look forward to discharge soon.  As always, he thanks his readers and implores their prayers.  (I read he produced the documentary "Hating Breitbart" and has been a tireless leader for the cause of liberty.)
